Los “cuatro gatos” de #nolesvotes ante las elecciones municipales de mayo. Podemos repetir un 12 de abril de 1931?

Después de la caída de la dictadura de Primo de Rivera, el rey Alfonso XIII convocó elecciones municipales en toda España para el  12 de abril de 1931. El resultado parcial, a falta aún de dilucidar casi cincuenta mil concejales, fue inequívoco. Salieron  22.150 concejales monárquicos frente a los 5.875 republicanos. Parece un resultado contundente, pero había  una diferencia substancial. Los casi seis mil regidores republicanos, podían ser “cuatro gatos” , pero  lo eran en las grandes ciudades y muchas capitales de provincia. Y eso, era el núcleo económico, social y político del país. En los pueblos seguía ganando el caciquismo, pero  en el corazón del estado, Madrid y Barcelona, los republicanos llegaron a triplicar a los monárquicos. Una auténtica derrota para un rey que pretendía seguir gobernando después de aceptar, apoyar y mantener  una dictadura militar en España.

Todos sabemos lo que pasó posteriormente. Fuga del rey de España al exilio. Proclamación el día 14 de la II República Española. Redacción y aprobación de una de las constituciones más progresistas de nuestra historia. Golpe de Estado. Guerra Civil. Represión. Más dictadura militar. Transición. Bipartidismo Democrático y hasta ahora.

Qué ha pasado ahora? La aprobación de la Ley Sinde despertó a todo un grupo social muy heterogéneo y diferente, pero con una visión muy clara de las cosas. El recorte de libertades, los intereses creados, la partitocracia imperante, la crisis económica y tantas otras razones han servido para crear la plataforma #nolesvotes . El objetivo está claro, da igual a quien votes, pero no votes ni a PSOE, ni al PP ni a CiU, máximos adalides de lo que supone el cáncer partitocrático en este país.

Aunque se acusa a la plataforma de no aparecer mucho en los medios de comunicación tradicionales, hemos de recordar que tampoco se habló excesivamente de los partidos republicanos en los periódicos de la época -no os perdáis el artículo del ex-ministro Cambó en La Vanguardia el día antes de las elecciones-. Recordad que la prensa escrita era, junto con la radio -sin estar está aún muy implantada-, el único medio de comunicación de masas de la época. Pero lo importante no era eso, sino la corriente subterránea de opinión contraria a la monarquía que pasaba de boca a boca, de fábrica a fábrica, de ateneo a ateneo. Y de eso, con el malestar social imperante, vamos sobrados.

Ni tampoco nos debe importar que seamos “cuatro gatos” como nos escupen en más de un artículo en la prensa tradicional. Tal como afirma Stéphane Hesse en su libro Indignaos :

“Pero si hoy, como entonces, una activa minoría se levanta, será suficiente; debemos ser la levadura que hace que el pan suba”

Me niego a pensar que mi país está lleno de gente dormida o anestesiada. Soy de la generación que participó en las movilizaciones en contra de la guerra de Irak. He visto miles de personas salir a la calle y sé a ciencia cierta que de dormido, mi pueblo, no tiene nada.  Y así se demostrará el próximo mes de mayo en las elecciones municipales que todo lo pueden cambiar. El próximo día 22 de mayo debemos conseguir el mismo efecto que el 12 de abril de 1931: triunfar en el corazón del país, en sus ciudades más importantes, en las capitales de provincia.  No votéis a la persona, porque un alcalde/alcaldesa no es más que el primer eslabón de un sistema político que nos ha llevado a estar donde estamos.
